Translations

The Black Mirror Theatre engages in translation of plays to and from English in order to facilitate production and presentation of these pieces to audiences in various locations and/or for academic purposes.

Translations completed thus far include:

An Triail The Trial, by Máiréad Ní Ghráda, written in Irish, 1964, translated from Irish to English.

 

 

 

 

An Chéad Mháirt d’Fhómhar The First Tuesday of Fall, by Cathal Ó Searcaigh, written in Irish, 2006, translated from Irish to English with permission of the playwright.

 

 

 

 

Tagann Godot Godot Shows Up, by Alan Titley, written in Irish, 1991, translated from Irish to English with permission of the playwright.

 

 

 

 

Rockaby – by Samuel Beckett, written in English, 1980, translated from English to Irish with permission of the Beckett Estate.
