The Black Mirror Theatre engages in translation of plays to and from English in order to facilitate production and presentation of these pieces to audiences in various locations and/or for academic purposes.
Translations completed thus far include:
An Triail – The Trial, by Máiréad Ní Ghráda, written in Irish, 1964, translated from Irish to English.
An Chéad Mháirt d’Fhómhar – The First Tuesday of Fall, by Cathal Ó Searcaigh, written in Irish, 2006, translated from Irish to English with permission of the playwright.
Tagann Godot – Godot Shows Up, by Alan Titley, written in Irish, 1991, translated from Irish to English with permission of the playwright.
Rockaby – by Samuel Beckett, written in English, 1980, translated from English to Irish with permission of the Beckett Estate.
